keypad

im trying to fix my keyless keypad. it doesnt work. theres no power. i pressed all the buttons and nothing happened. what are some steps i can take to try to fix it.

1. I took the door apart and checked the plugs looks fine.

I'd start checking fuses. Your owner's manual will list what each fuse is for. If you don't have the manual you can download it.

If it isn't a fuse, pull the back seat and verify with a volt meter that you are getting power to the keyless entry unit on the rear wall.

so i had taken the back seat off to get my code and noticed this black wire is cut. any ideas what the wire is for? and which wire or plug am i checking for power?

That looks like the ground wire. If you had a Power Probe you could tell if it is a ground wire or not. If it's just cut, twist it together and see if they work.

Someone should take a picture of there keyless remote module, so I can see how this is suppose to look. (Make sure u cover ur code). Thanks. I'm getting ready to take to dealer. If I can't fix in 2 weeks.

I will have to check mine out tomorrow. It has never worked. Ugh I am going to have to remove 2 baby seats to do this, but I am afraid my wife is gonna lose the key.
