Info re: Moog Upper Ball Joints
As stated by me and others, Moog's upper control arms come with a serviceable ball joint which can be replaced when needed. Well, I just learned from Rockauto, who spoke with Moog directly, that they don't MAKE a BJ for this UCA nor do they make a replacement boot. WTH?!? This is the main reason I went with Moog in the first place. Their suggestion is obviously to buy a new UCA.
My issue is that my BJ boot is torn but the BJ itself is good so I am looking at the Energy Suspension polyurethane boots. I still need to take it all apart so I can measure the shaft for the correct boot.

It sucks but it looks like the boots are sturdier than the rubber Moog boots.
So...if you are looking for a replacement UCA, make sure they make the BJ replacement and don't assume like I did...

That's always been my assumption with the Moog UCA (that they were not replaceable). I don't think any one makes a UCA for these trucks that have replaceable joints, except for very high end, maybe. The advantage of MOOG is that they have zerk fittings and usually of better quality over oem.

Thanks and let me know.
I assume this one is it: (I've already replaced the stocker one twice!)

and bushing (doesn't look as strong as the ones you posted) whenever I need to replace it:

Out of curiosity, what did you spray yours with? I was debating just doing herculiner if that would work there.

As for painting, I didn't but I will once my bushings come in. I may just use plain old Rustoleum in matte black.

As far as painting them, I had an open can of POR-15 and used that, two years and it is still black and no rust....great paint (coating).

So the K80306 is the correct part (left side) but they come with bushings so you wont need those. I replaced the ball joint boots and these are the closest to the meausrements of the Moog BJ:

For Moog parts, I've bought them on Jegs in the past but I plan on looking around for the best prices.

I was just at some online site looking at Moog parts and it looks Expensive to buy all the parts I think I need. I may have to just buy all my parts in pairs, as needed, as opposed to just buying everything and doing it all at once. I hate that. Here is the site.
