Toyo 275/70R18 MT or Nitto 295/70R18 Trail Grapplers --- Pics and Opinions
Hey Everyone! I'm new to the forum! I am looking at buying some new tires for my 07 screw. I like the Toyo Open Countries and the Nitto Trail Grapplers. I have found plenty of pictures of the Nitto 295/70R18s (https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...ml#post4636924)
But I haven't seen a lot of pictures of the Toyo 275/70R18. Should I go with the 33 inch or the 34 inch? I plan on putting on XD Monsters.
Please post pictures if you have them! Thanks!

That link you posted goes right to my truck. I am running the 2.5 AS too. I have really enjoyed the trail grapplers, they are reaching the end of their life, but I plan on buying them again.
Hey welcome to the site. Lots of good stuff here. This might just make your decision harder but here is mine. Those are 285/75/18's. Not the size you said but close I think. Anyway these are just short of 35". I also have a 2.5 level. Just giving some input.

Never had trail grapplers. I am thinking of trying those next. Don't get me wrong I've loved the toyos but they were very expensive and just like to keep trying new things.

They are both similar tires by weight and tread design, just look a bit different. I recently put Toyo MTs on and I don't like them much. Definitely look badass and make the truck look wider, but are extremely heavy...serious rolling mass which kills mileage and makes bumps/potholes chaotic. They perform poor on wet roads, don't self-clean as well as a MT should in mud, and the softer tread material causes them to chunk easy on rocks. Really wish I had gotten another set of BFG KM2s, those were the best tires I've ever had.
If you don't leave the pavement much, you may not experience these problems like I have. But for an all around offroad/onroad tire, I'm a bit unimpressed.

295/70/18 trail grap's here. love them, had them for about 6k miles and wearing good. they look sick and clean out great in mud. did see mileage drop a tad but edge evo helped out
here's couple old pics when i just put them on. 2.5 HBS level here

I like my Toyo's. Sure they're heavy, but any MT is going to be drastically heavier than an AT. If I were buying tires again I would consider these or the KM2. Both are pretty comparable from what i've read.. If I had a stock height 4X4 with a 2.5" level I would definately go with 34". Depending on towing circumstances you might want to consider regearing or sticking with a 33". Just kinda depends on your situation.
