You guys think I would do well in a truck pull or just not waste my time? No idea what other types of trucks would be in a stock gasoline class other than stock rams, silverados, and other f150's?

let me guess, you didn't regear????

i highly doubt a stock truck class truck pull is going to destroy his truck. If everyone is so worried about thier trucks doing work, then sell em n buy a car. I also guess all the fellas who off-road thier trucks shouldnt because they can destroy thier trucks. Same with the people who tow or haul stuff...nope cant do it...it'll destroy it...

These are trucks, even tho most now are sissyfied cars, and are meant to do hard work. If everything is in proper working order, and he isnt stupid while doing it he wont do any damage.

Towing/hauling loads within the mfg's specs is perfectly fine, as it was DESIGNED to do so. Entering your truck into a blind event with an unknown weight while pushing the engine/transmission/suspension to its limits was not intended nor designed into the vehicle. Offroading doesn't necessarily involve beating the hell out of your truck under full load. Would I take my truck (even if it was 4WD) out into a serious off-road (i.e. thick woods/rock crawling) situation? Probably not, because I don't want to tear up my Lariat DD without a scratch on it. If I wanted to do those sorts of things, I'd buy a $3K beater that I'd have no qualms about breaking/beating on.
