brake pad mileage
I had my first set of pads replaced around 36k on my 05. like yours the rears were almost totaly worn out the fronts still had a little left but went ahead and done all of them at the same time. Now the 2nd set the rears have 3mm left on the pads and the fronts 4m left truck has 88k on it now. so about 52k so far out of this set. Will replace in the next 5k miles or so.
Replaced mine at about 30,000 the back ones wore the most which i always thought were wrong but the dealer said that is normal today.
The new pads are motorcraft, service engineer said they use the pads from the E-350 anyway they brake better and with 64000 on the truck not even 1/4 used.

50K miles on my truck and both front/rear are done. (only 2mm left)
I tow a lot with the truck and the previous owner too.
ordered a set of centric to last till I upgrade the brake next year(my plan)

on a 05 f150 the factory pads were replaced at 67k miles. I don't remember how worn they were, but the pedal was really low and the pads were thin. Went with monroe ceramics and they have 40k miles on them and have plenty pad left. Only bought them because of the rebate.
I replaced the front pads/rotors on my '08 at 35,000 just because. Got the "best" pads from the good, better, best brake pad option at NAPA and some NAPA rotors. I noticed immediately how crappy the truck stopped comapred to stock, I really have to bear down on the braked to get it to stop where as before it took noticeably less brake pedal input. So, are the Wagner TQ's the way to go? Anybody found any particular brand of rotor to work better than others? I'm not looking for a full out Bembo 6 piston caliper with slotted rotor stop on a dime sports car upgrade, just a decent factory replacement for the next go around. A buddy owns the local NAPA so I get great pricing, but I am none to impressed with the stopability of the setup I got from NAPA.
