*VIDEO - watch this sunk 2004 Ford F150 get pulled/yanked out of a pond
#24
saw a guy at a boat ramp launching his boat do this. got out to undo the rear chains, in such a hurry he didnt go in park, whole assembly went in the lake, dragging him with it as he tried to get back in truck. boat actually floated with trailer attached, truck screwed though.
couple of years later, same lake, same ramp, my father and i had just came in from fishing, tied up to dock, walked past this guy staring at the water cussing. we asked him if he was alright, he stated, "fn boat sank" and walked off. we looked down and couldnt see anything at first, then it appeared about 3 feet or so deep, the pointed nose of a bassboat!!! long story short, it was a brand new ranger bass boat, he was by himself for first time out, backed in his truck, unloaded boat, tied it to dock, went to go pull truck out and go the bathroom. seems he didnt know about the two drainplugs in the boat and it sank. we watched it come up a couple hours later. upside down being pulled up the ramp. motor cowl scraping the concrete. it was sad.
far as this guy, if electronics didnt get soaked, it will be okay. id change all the fluids quick.
bigger deal is, that interior is gonna stink to high heaven when it dries. will smell worse than a dead
few years back, buddy of mine bought an f150 just like that one cheap that went into a lake. fluid changes, new wiring harness, fuse boxes, and some sensors along with new carpet and he had a dang nice truck. got it at some insurance auction. i think it had a salvage title tho, but it ran fine.

Wow, Remind me not to use that towing company. Anyone catch the "financing for everyone" on the flatbed in beginning of video. After the fourth yank you can see the smoke and bubbles when the wheel shatters. Ummm don't flatbeds have a winch on them that's way easier on both trucks. Lastly WTF is wrong with that driver, if that chain would have broke or come loose it could have killed the guy with camera or someone around him
