werid problem?

So about once a week or evey other week, when i start up my truck and just go, It will kinda stutter for like 3-5 secs then stop. Then it will drive perfect. I changed the fuel filter about 4k miles ago with a motorcraft, so i dont think that could be it? Any ideas?

Thanks!

check the coils and the boots! my 05 f150 5.4 did the same thing checked the boots (the part that goes from the coil to the spark plug) and the ones in the very back had melted a little bit. so changed them out and runs like a dream. by the way you can buy the boots seperate for about $5.00 each. Hope this helps!

Could possibly be a leaky fuel injector - a run of 05 5.4's had that issue. There's a sticky in the V-8 forum about that.
