i'd rather use fishing line and go at it with patience. if you pull with a decent amount of force you can lift up an edge to then pry the rest out with your hands.
rushing to ding or scratch with a flathead no matter how cautious won't yield a mod, but an expensive repair---better safe then sorry

Do not use a flathead, use fishing string. Get a good piece of line and go behind the badge and work like a saw cutting through the adhesive. No damage what so ever can be done to your truck! Some Goo Gone with take the rest off
