I just ordered a set of 2009+ fender badges for my 04 Lariat.
Aside from these being adhesive will they also line up in the existing mounting holes?

Also, I am looking to replace my stock gold 4x4 decals with the newer style in matte black.
Will these cover the same area as the old ones?
I ask because with my truck being as old as it is, I don't want it to be spotty.

I am in the process of replacing my Fx4 decals with the 2009 ones and the newer ones are larger so it should be the same for you. The badges I cannot answer for you sorry.

atlong, I know you can find these on eBay. Just look for a reputable seller.

I haven't had any luck with the 09' 4x4 decals though.

atlong, did another search on eBay and found a seller. I'm on my iPhone eBay app so I don't have a link, however on the eBay search bar type in "2009 f150 4x4 decal" and it will take you to the seller.
He's asking $17.96 or best offer. I'm going to put an offer in now.

Also looks like there's plenty of colors to choose from as well.
I'm going to go with the matte black as my truck is black.

ya i noticed that too, im just having a hard time deciding what color is right for me. i have the adobe ones now and want that same color but this auction doesnt use ford color names

 

I got mine off Ebay for less then $20 shipped to my door and they even threw in a small Fx4 decal for the tailgate. I went with the black ones for my truck so I could take off the red and stay close with the black and smoked theme I have going.

 

Hey man,
The emblems line up with existing holes along with the adhesive. For the tailgate however, order a flareside emblem, not a styleside. Otherwise it won't line up right.

I love my 09 emblems and get compliments all the time

by the way, easiest way to get the old ones off, yet kinda scary: Take a flathead screwdriver and pry it up from the corners. Put down a piece of cloth first of course to protect your paint. I did the fishing line the first time I took my old ones off (to paint), it's just so much slower...
