If I recall correctly the RS9000's can handle up to 1" of lift in the rear. That's what rancho told me when I told them I have an FX4..

I ended up with 1.5" with my quick lifts. Bear in mind the supercharger, fluids and heat exchanger added some weight over the front wheels. Why not install the quick lifts, let them settle and see if you need to do anything with the rear? Rear air bags might give you a slight boost as well and would help with any towing or large loads.

IIRC they can handle 1" more of length. They didn't lift mine.

Keep in mind, QL's lifted mine 2 3/8 at first. Settled in about a day or so, dropped to 2 1/8. Had the truck re aligned and I was right at 2" exactly.

I thought from the first one, you maybe had doubts .... that was all.

Some were 1-5/8s, I think more so on 04-05s maybe (maybe it was some other load apps? I know some are 1-5/8s) as they often had 4 leaf rear springs, 3 regular and the overload leaf where we have the two regular and one overload leaf on our '07s. Seems the regular leaf springs are pretty near 3/8" thick at the center bolt / U-bolt area, maybe that's why the shorter block to use up the gazillions of U bolts?

And I see that there appears to be a 1-7/8" block out there as well.

yeah i dont know why though since it seems to be common knowledge that its a 2 inch lift.

id like to do a 2.5 front and the 3 inch rear block, but from everything ive seen that makes the backs higher than the front. i want to be perfectly level but with another half inch of height all the way around.

anyone got any 2.5 front and 3 rear block lifted 06-08 trucks? 04redfx4 has 3 and 3, but his before measurements were lower than mine by a half an inch or so.

is it just me or do the 6 inch lifted trucks look better with 35s than the 4's? if i cant figure this out im just gonna accrue money till these tires wear out then go all out meaning 6 inch lift, 35x12.50 trail grapplers, nice 20 inch wheels with the proper backspace, 4.10s, and a trutrac rear

No, I have 33.5" tires. Not sure what it would have been with 32" tires. I haven't ever owned a truck new enough to have stock tires. lol.( truck has 50k with new good years when I bought it.)

alright guys stick with me. i called autospring today, the guy said the stock blocks typically measure 1.5 inches. he said that for sure his 3 inch block measures 3 inches exactly. so i go out to my truck and my rear block measures damn near 2 inches, if anything 1 and 7/8ths.

what i dont get is why everyone says the 3 inch rear block causes axle wrap, and wheel hop. how is that so, if the rancho 4 inch kit comes with a 4 inch rear block? does that mean the rancho kit causes those same problems?

if an auto spring spacer does not affect ride quality, then im considering just getting a 3 inch rear block, 2.5 front spacer, and maybe a set of 4 standard lift height rs5000s and calling it done. with my 1.5 spacer in the front the front and rear measure very close to the same. within an 1/8th of an inch, so according to my logic, a 3 inch rear block and 2.5 front spacer, should be the same rake, just an inch higher all the way around (what im looking for)

autospring did say they cannot cut custom blocks like a 2.5 inch block

does anyone know of anybody that has an 06-08 truck with the 3 inch rear block and a 2.5 or 3 inch front spacer? i know redfx4 does, but his before measurements were different than mine.

i know theres the guy with a 1.5 spacer front and 3 inch rear, thats too much rake, ill go look for his thread see if he included measurements.

Why is it your wanting to lift the truck another inch? To fit bigger tires? When I had just my 2.5" as on mine I kept ripping my cv boots. That's about 99.8% the reason I went with my 4" rancho I have now. Some never have issues, but some do like me. All I'm getting at is if you don't really have a solid reason to go another inch higher, don't. I would go 2" max.

My problem was I had a 2" bilstein setup. I put on my new 35s and needed just a tick more so I upgraded to a 2.5 and that when the problems started.. Never had a problem before with just the 2" bilstein shocks.

So id think long and hard before I went ahead and went through all that trouble possibly causing more problems. If it were me I'd just stick with your original plans with the quicklifts, rs9000 in rear, and possibly rear shackle or piece of spring(if you'd even need it).
