Opinions on light mod

I'm torn on doing an upgrade to my white truck. I'm wanting some aftermarket lights. As you can see on the 94 I like auxiliary lighting and miss not having it on my 07. I just don't want to kill the clean and simple look of my 07. What are yalls opinions on adding auxiliary lighting? If money wasn't an issue, I'd add a 30" LED bar recessed in the bumper opening, but that is too much money. I have thought of the Randy Ellis/Smitty Bilt style bar, but I'm just not sure.

Ive got lights behind my grille but Ive got the egg crate style grille which is alot more open than the H bar grille you have.

I hate those red led's that go under the tailgate. Those are such an old man accessory.

OP, if you want the cleanest look, those Rigid LED light bars are going to be your best bet. They do cost a lot, but it would look cleaner or you could get a smaller size.

From everyone I know with them, the oldest person is about 37. My dad despises them.

This is also being taken into consideration.

What I hate about the smittybilt is how the light tabs are on the front of the bar.

The Hella replacement grill with the lighting positions looks great and doesn't clutter up the truck with a bunch of warty protrusions.

I don't like the look of the Hella grill personally, but I'm not a fan of the H-bar grill, either.

Once the lights are on you dont even notice the tab are forward. And the bar is strong as hell, I use it to get at the motor

How about a retrofit? It keeps the clean lines of the truck and gives you the extra light.

Yeah if you just want better lighting and a clean look, retrofit is the best option.

Well I need the long range lighting for hunting and running the woods. What ever lights I got I would get all long range lights. I considered the retro fit, but it wouldn't give me the long range needs. Thought about going with the Smitty Bilt and run 4 Black KC Slim Lites.

i personally like the smitty built bars as well and the black magics would tie into your headlights as well to keep a somewhat uniform look.

I hate those red led's that go under the tailgate. Those are such an old man accessory.
wtf are you talking about, i'm pretty sure those are popular among the younger age bracket? i took mine off because everybody and their dog has them now so it's almost turning into a cheap autozone light mod, similar to the led bar above the tag light so it all looks cheesy..

Hardly anyone here has them.

If you did a bixenon projector with high beams, you would have plenty of long range. I do lots of hunting and driving on backroads and offroad, and with quad high beams (4 projectors) I have 14,500 lumens of light and it goes a LONG ways. No light bar needed. Even with just 2 projectors and 50w ballasts, thats 8500 lumens which is very very bright.

But if you want the light bar, you could probably find some long range Halogen reflectors that will suit your needs. Just keep in mind all those 100w halogens draw a lot of current from your electrical.

I'd love to see some light output pictures of your lights as far as distance goes. Not cut off pictures on a structure. What was the cost to do your headlight conversion with the Bi-Xenon?

I'm considering doing the Hildebrandt light bar with 4 KC Black Slim Lites in Long Range. This bar is a little tighter than others, cheaper, and has the tabs on the back side.
This is the bar on Ballin STX's truck.
