I did the swap in my 05 F150. Changed the total dash wiring harnes and fuse block. Also added heated seats (factory ) and leather.Everything works great except might have to install new motor for floor, def, dash vents as they are not working right. Also added heated mirrors and soon puddle lamps and maybe power fold mirrors.

City of Champs did you have to change the motor from floor to dash to defrost to get it to work right?

new info... it appears in mid 2005 to newer the EATC system changed. when going over the schematics for this swap i discover that late 2005's no longer have a separate floor controller which could account for the fact that my original unit was working backwards. floor-air was coming out panel and vice versa. that is a 2006 unit being used in a 2004. the 2005 unit i recently bought works flawlessly. so it appears you may have to find a specific unit for 2004-05 trucks. I've yet to get the temp sensor and blower controller, but now that this problem is solved the project is back on. my original plan for the 2006 unit was to swap the +/- drive motor wires in the unit for the panel and floor, this way it would work correctly in the truck.. whether this would successfully fix the problem I'm not sure. Thats my update for the moment. more to come...

Do you by chance have a part number so I can check mine?

i'll do ya one better

this one is from a 2006 lariat

this one is from a 04-05

also as a side note, one unit is a 4L3H-18D422-BG the other is labeled 4L3H-18D422-AG from what i can tell these are part numbers for the cases not the actual eatc. the BG has the rear window defrost icon and the AG has the heated mirror icon.

Great info Thanks
Here is a new one I have but haven't tried
4L3H-18D411-CG 4L3H-18D419- CD 7L34-18C612-CA

Here is one that didn't work right
4L3H-18D419-CB 4L34-18C612-CE F30

These have heated seats ,heated mirrors and maybe rear window

What do you make of these?

ShoDude,

Did you make any further progress on your etac swap? I have a 05 Lariat that had a flaky unit... 4L34-18C612-CF ... I bought a ETAC that said it was from 05-07 4L34-18C612-CC. The "new" unit works alot better but it does seem that my floor and panel vents are now reversed. Did you try to swap the wires like you stated in your post?

These units both seem to be heated seats, heated mirrors and they are both different from any that have already been posted.

I used the older EATC I bought. It works correctly. I'm still not sure if my theory would work or not.

Sho did you swap to a lariat or FX4 with EATC cluster in place of your xlt one or did you have the xlt one reprogrammed? I am still trying to determine if it is possible to reprogram the cluster I have instead of buying a a new cluster. Other than that I have this all done and good to go with the exception of AC demand

Hmm, I may have to try your theory....

If anyone reading this needs a 2005+ (After 11/29/04) production ETAC unit (Heated seats and mirrors), let me know.
