Need help stomaching a lift

Ok guys, I'm wanting to buy a body lift and new tires. I totaled it up and it's looking like $1,200. I LOVE my truck, but how do you guys stomach or talk yourselves into spending so much money on lifts and tires? I really want the look but I just don't know if I can do it.

No body lift and wheels, but did you see my locomotive horns? Everybody has there hobbies, and we all blow money on something different.

Tires are consumables so take them out of the total and your just paying for the body lift. Yes, you may not need new tires now but you will sooner or later. Don't try to justify the money, if you want it do it. I didn't try to convince myself that I needed to install a Whipple supercharger on my truck I just wanted it. Power increases are where you really start spending some serious money. If you want the truck to look better to you and plan on keeping it for a while just do it and enjoy the new look.

Yeah its not so much about the money or stomaching it for those of us who enjoying modding our trucks. It is just all about what you want and how you are going to get to that point. My truck is maybe 1/2 way done with what I want on it and I have spent more then your $1,200 so far and have at least another $5-6k to go before I am happy. Coming in the future is a 4" lift, new wheels, new tires, Ironcross front and rear bumpers, and a few loose ends.

My wife compares my mods to my truck as to the tattoos she has or wants. Its addicting and you want more so be warned once you start you usually find something else you want.

I will try to dig up a picture of a local truck near me where the guy purchase full size train horns and had a custom rack made and bolted to his roof of his 250. These things where almost the full length of his super crew and damn are they loud.

Whats the use of money if you cant have fun with it. You only live once. Now if you're spending your life savings wait a little bit until you have saved up more money. But if you have the money spend it on something you want and enjoy it. Im like you its hard for me to spend money on it but after i get something nice for my truck Im glad I did. As for tires you have to buy those periodically any way. I have a sinking fund in my budget for them maybe you should try that.

1200 for tires and a body lift that is really cheap I mean I spend 2200 on just my tires so if that is the price go for it. We only live once so the way I look at it you may as well have fun and do what you want as long as you can afford it go for it and post pics. I have quite a bit into my truck but they way I justify it is that it make me smile every time I look at it so to me it is worth it.
