4wd not working.

So i went to use my 4wd the other day and it wasnt working. so iv been messing with it the past couple days. i have a 06 f150 xlt 3v with 87,xxx miles, i turned the switch it was saying it was going into 4x4hi and low but not engaging then tried tapping on the transfer case motor still nothing. then my 4x4hi light stayed but it wasnt engaged and it wont turn off even if i put it in 4x4low or 2h. changed the iwe solenoid today and it locked into 4wd. but wont disengage or go into 4x4low and 4x4hi light is still on. put the old iwe solenoid back in then it disengaged the 4wd but the 4x4hi light still was on. then i took off the transfer case motor started the truck flipped the switch and nothing motor didnt move. so im gonna order a new transfer case motor and hopefully it does the trick. just seeing if anyone else has had this problem. please post.

Not suggesting anything, just wondering ..... had you been using 4wd on a regular basis or hardly ever?

Just curious .... I rarely ever need mine, but I try to engage it in the yard every time I pull her around to the basement to detail or tinker with or change oil, etc. Just wondering.

Hope the motor does it!
