07 Lariat Grille question

My neighbor just got an 07 F150 Lariat and is wanting to purchase a black billet grille insert (not bolt over). Everything online that says it fits his truck is bolt over only. All the actual replacement ones state not for fx4 or lariat. I can see the difference in the fx4 grilles but I must be missing the difference in the Lariat. Anyone know the difference or where to purchase one?

i myself have a 07 lariat and never heard of this issue. i've been in the market for a grille for a few weeks now and have had no problems finding new bolt on grilles, my only problem is finding the one i want out of the many choices!!

What brand? Share a link? Hard to help if we don't know this information. If it's a replacement grille it doesn't matter what the stock grille is.

Ebays compatability thing says it will fit, but if you read the actual add it says not for fx4 or lariat.

It says it won't fit FX2 and lariat.

It says for 06-08 but shows an 04-05.

Any product with a misleading ad like that I steer clear of.

Thanks stealth. I have an older f150 and dont know all the differences in the newer body style. I have bought a few grilles from that same seller for other vehicles with no problems, so I just checked to see what he had when my buddy asked about them. I found him one from Stylin Trucks. More money but hopefully it works for him.

Yeah it kind of sucks for you, you're doing him a favor by doing the legwork about the grille for him, but if it doesn't fit it's all your fault.

You can look at lmc trucks. They have a pretty large selection of bolt on and lay over grilles. Their prices are pretty high on some things but it will give you some optiojs to look at. Good luck.
