Overall i love the bumper its well made, it just seems like the mounts were an afterthought, i am disappointed that i will have to spend additional time and money to bring it up to a satisfactory level, but when its done i will be very happy with it.
So in essence, they sent you a "build it yourself bumper starter kit"?

I'm OK with stuff like that when a company tells me that's the deal and I choose to go ahead, but they ripped you and many others ..... on the bet that only a few would complain as you did .... so you got $150 back!

But I know you will be happy now with the changes and custom fit and better finish.... call it the "personal touch".

Few updates for today, made the brackets for the valence support and got them installed, no more sag in the middle

Heres how it looks now:

The supports i came up with, they are adjustable up and down just like the bumper:

I am thinking about bridging the inside and adding a front receiver, then cut out a square in the skid plate for access. Then I could have a receiver for a D-ring or something since the stock tow hooks cant be used anymore. I don't trust wrapping a strap around the bumper tubing.

Put a winch up front. I wouldn't trust the tubing for a good attachment point either.
