Yeah I know what you mean.

I mean it's not awful, I'm just not a big fan of factory pinstripes and I think your truck would a lot cleaner w/out it.

How much trouble was it pulling the chrome trim off the rockers of your truck, I have that installed on mine from the dealer and I would really love to remove it? I have been warned by other what a PITA it is though

Ahh looks so much better .. Should try to somehow get the ovals done too. Kinda hard with the overlays on but maybe you can lightly tape over it to paint the chrome. Or get some new/used ovals and start over.

Not a big fan of pinstripe either but its not all that bad on yours..

Pulling the chrome its self off wasn't too hard. I used a plastic putty knife to bend up a corner then used pliars to pull it off. The double sided tape is what was a PITA to get off. The best way I found to do it was to rub it with your thumb and spray 3M Adhesive Remover on it. I started around 11:30am and was done around 8:30 or 9:00pm. It took some time.

Thanks! I'm going to TRY to mask the overlays off and paint the chrome and hope for the best. I should have just painted them before I put the overlays on like I wanted to. But.......

Thanks Craig. I figured if the stickers got here in 4 days you should have been able to also. Your loss

matt, the truck has really come along i forgot how ugly all that chrome was! badges and overlays turned out good. if u really want to take off the pinstripe, our bodyshop uses "eraser wheels" to get them off, pretty slick. ever think about tinting your windows? lol

Thanks! I knew the chrome was ugly but I didn't realize how ugly it was until I took it off I've heard of those eraser wheels, never seen one "in action" but from what I hear they work really well.

The previous owner tinted the windows, I'm pretty sure they're 20% but not positive.

Thank you! I've thought about taking that stuff off but they're all kind of useful. What I like most about the running boards is they kind of hide the frame.

Well, here is what it looks like today. I just got done putting the Saleen grille on and put new leaf springs, shackles, all new shackle bolts/ u bolts and shocks this past weekend. It definitely made a difference!

Very nice improvement, the grille looks great on there and with the bug shield gone everything flows much better. I like it! Great job.

Thanks!

It doesn't look as "busy" as it did before, I'm happy with it.

Wow! That's a great difference with the grille and the deletion of the chrome and etc. Nice!

Thank you!

I was kind of surprised that I liked it without the bugshield. I've always "thought" this body style looked better with a bug shield. I guess everyone's wrong once in a while

I think it's finally done for a while now.
