How hard is it to change the Fuel Filter

I remember there being a thread for this but just can't find it. I would like to try this b/c the part is $23.24 but the dealership wants $159 plus tax to install it. They call it the filter package, fuel and air. I don't have a problem spending money with the dealer but I think this is something I can tackle myself and the air filter is to easy to do, lol. If someone knows how I can get a service manual pm please. Thanks

Do it yourself....There is a great thread in the How-to section of the forum.

Be sure to read the how-to...I broke a clip last week changing mine! It's a pain to do....more frustrating than hard. Those filter wrenches are a biotch...at least mine was.

Can the clip be purchased? If so how much do they run? (anyone know the part number). What is the technical name for the fuel filter? and where can I get it from. The dealership near where I'm presently located doesn't have have it

Don't know the brand, but any of them should be good. Just get a Motorcraft filter if you can. My parts store has them for $13

I don't know if my filter was ancient or what, but neither the metal or plastic tools worked very well. I ended up having to push the filter out of its bracket before I could get the one side disconnected, and then it just came right off. Maybe I needed some slack in the line.
