Leveled Rear Pics

I think I want to level the rear of my truck with the front, but want to see some others that have done it so I know what I am in for. I bought the truck with the front leveled and 33's, but am thinking I want to remove the leveling kit from the front and take out the rear blocks or the overload spring. I have air bags in the rear so I'm not worried about squat when towing. I know I will have to swap out the 33's for something smaller which is fine by me since I dont have clearance for chains with the current setup.

So let's see some pics!

Here's mine for reference minus the tonneau cover, took that off the minute I got it home.

To make it easier to load my dirt bike and help with gas mileage. Also, having smaller tires will help with towing when I get a toy hauler in the next year or so. I am not going to wheel this truck besides going through whatever I need to to get to where I want to ride so having a taller truck does nothing for me. I had the lifted truck when I had my ranger and wheeling doesn't even come close to comparing to riding so I asked myself "why do I have a truck set up for off-road?" and couldn't really answer my own question. Plus, this truck is MUCH too wide to wheel around here anyways. The ranger was on the verge of being too wide so the F150 is pretty much restricted to powerline roads anyways even if I did want to wheel it.

then you could remove the rear blocks if you wanted too, i dont know if the overload spring added any height to the rear of the truck but if you have airbags you could probably remove them both without worrying about anything

Dropping the rear to get back any minimal gas mileage is a rediculous notion as long as you are running aftermarket wheels and mud terrains.

If you rest my origional post you would have read that I would be removing the front leveling kit and swapping to smaller tires which should increase my mpg and make towing easier. Also not previously mentioned is that I would go with an all terrain tire instead of an MT which would also improve mpg.

Nobody has any pics of the rear leveled with the front? I know it's not as common as leveling the front, but someone has to have done it.

Removing the leveling kit and rear block would put you at approximately the same height as a 2wd with just a 1.5-2 inch leveling kit. There are plenty of pics of leveled 2wd trucks you just have to look some.

Here is mine the minute I brought her home fresh off the showroom floor

And here she is two hours later with the rear blocks removed and the step tubes on.

My sig pic shows how it sits now, I just raised it up 3" F/R to clear the 35" nitto's I just ordered.

What size tires and wheels are those? I assume they are stock, but I don't know what comes stock now.

Those are the factory 20's which are 8.5" wide with 6.5" backspace and the tires are 275/55-20 which equates to a 32x 11x 20. And both were factory installed from day one.

The 20's were optional from 06 up. Your 04 came stock with 18 x 7.5" wheels and 275/65-18 tires on 4x4's and 265/60-18 on 2wd.

When I bought the truck it had 20s and 33s on it so I will probably keep the 20s and just downsize the tires. Looks like you still have room for tire chains on the fronts, yeah? It's strange, I have a leveling kit and 33's and there is no way I could run tire chains. As it is now the front tires are literally millimeters away from rubbing the rear of the inner fender and that should be 2.5" higher than stock with about 0.5" closer to the fender from the 1" larger tires.
