Nitto makes an AT tire in the stock 20" size of 275/55-20 Look for the terra grapp in that size. The reason you have clearence issues is the wheels are not stock and do not have the stock offset or backspace. They are most likely 20x9's with somwhere around 5.5" BS so it is going to push your tires out more and you lose clearence. Going back to a stock size tire will get you some of it back but you may need to change you wheels also.

My advise, get ahold of a set of factory 20's from a 150 or an expy or a navi and put some 275/60-20 nitto terras on them and run them in the winter with chains if needed, and run your current wheel/tire combo in the summer. the 275/60's are also a 33" tire so you will not have to recalibrate your speedo twice a year when you swap on/off your winter set. Also you can use a 275/70-18 tire on stock 18's if you like and get the same result.

I just looked and nitto makes a terra grap in both a 275/70-18 and a 275/60-20, I would run one of those on a set of stock wheels for winter use and keep you current set, they look really good on your truck.

I understand why you are doing what you're doing but that has to be one of the best trucks I've seen.

Another option is a set of factory 17's with a 295/70-17, also a 33" Look in the classifieds here to find a set or check your local craigslist.

Thanks man. I know, I like the way she looks too. I just wanted to see what it would look like if I did lower it a bit and made it more practical for what I use it for. Plus, the ride sucks and I assume it's from the front spacers. Whenever I hit a pothole the front jumps over if i am in a turn. Still not fully decided to do this, just seriously considering it.

I ran some 33" nitto terras on my ranger years back and they were decent. I live in western Oregon though so there is no need for a winter set and summer set as we don't get much if any regular snow at the elevation I live at (~200'). I just want the option to run chains if I am going skiing and can't use the our Subaru for some reason. I didn't realize that stock tires were 32s though. Maybe I can switch to a wheel with less BS and keep the 33 MTs until they wear out and remove the leveling kit and rear block. Hmm...

In that case keep what you've got a run them until they are worn out and throw on a set of terras in a 305/55-20 (33x12.50x20) or a 305/50-20 (32x12.50x20) If you had stock wheels or wheels with near stock backspace you could run 33's without a leveling kit and not have any rubbing issues. I would yank your kit and see if you get any rub with your current setup, if not then just replace your tires with 305/55's when the toyos are worn out. If you do get a rub after the kit is gone then drop back down to a 32" tire. Either way get the terra's, they are supposed to have better winter traction than the toyo MT's you have now and forget about the chains alltogether.

I can't forget about chains all together, they are required by law at times up on the mountain.
