Compass

Sometimes when I start my truck, instead of showing the temp, and direction, it just says CAL. After a while it goes back to normal. I guess it wants me to calibrate the system some how, but I dont know how to do it? Any ideas?

Drive around in a circle until Cal goes away and instead shows a direction.

Got an owners manual??
I know it says something about calibrating the compass in there.

Simple Search shows this:
CAL Reading

Cal??

Thanks, I guess the driving in circles explains why it goes away, but what makes it come on in the first place?

Your guess is as good as mine as to why.

Maybe at one time you put it into CAL mode by mistake and it never really got calibrated correctly, so it shows up evey now and again telling you it needs to be done. Just guessing.

I know when I first got my truck, I put mine in CAL mode without realizing it and didn't know how to get it back. Stayed that way for a day or so until I could look it up in the manual and go do circles in the parking lot.
