New guy here with a question..
Hello guys and gals im new to this fourm and i had a question concering my new truck. It's an 08 F150 FX4 Supercrew. and i was messing aroung with the cig. lighter and found this.

What are those connectors to? Do they serve a purpose? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Im sure theres more to it than just adding the switch. Control modules and sensors need to be present in order for the system to function. It was probably just cheaper to manufacture one harness than multiple ones without those options. Maybe someone will chime in with more info about what you are inquiring. BTW, welcome to the site...

Ford basically made one harness for all versions of the 150's. One plug is for the optional back up sensors and the other is for the optional traction control that was only available on 2wd's.
