Street Scene cowl: Upon further review there is plenty of air flow space by the hood hinge area as well.

So a SS Self-Tapping Screw would be best to do this mod--but does it require a drill or can you handscrew it in? Can't tell if it would be metal or plastic I would be screwing into....

This is where a self tapping SS Screw goes...it's metal underneath. I did this about 3 years ago and hasn't moved since.

Got it done, and yes it IS that easy...now onto my Dad's '07 and brother's '04.

Just painted my cowl today. It hasn't popped up but after seeing how some genius designed this thing I best not wait. Way too much plastic on these trucks.
