The pod will come with your Gryphon, I'm assuming since you said $400 you're getting a monochrome Gryphon and not a CS or CTS (these 2 don't include the pod).

When you receive it and install it in your truck, your hex code will be one of the first things that appears on the screen. It will pick it up automatically. I think you can also find your hex code with a decent code reader tool. Since you aren't getting custom tunes yet, you don't even need to know it until you do order them.

If going with SISO you could always order a muffler on Performance Peddler and have a shop cut out the stock muffler and weld in the aftermarket. You would be looking at about $150-$200 total for that depending on what muffler you want.

its got a universal magnaflow in there right now. its just not loud at all. and im picky so i have to paint it black with engine paint. i had that done, but it doesent sound much louder at all really. i dont wanna just put a glass pack in there and get all that rasp and crackling and popping.

The automatic retrieval happens 90% of the time....

No big loss though....you can still get it by using the menu functions....

You will notice improved throttle and shifting response with the Gryphon. You will also be able to fine tune any other changes down the road with with the tuner. The exhaust will (maybe) make more noise and nothing more. You decide. Gryphon does not make the engine run lean, but a lot of the "CAI"s do, and the tuner can correct that.
