Confused!!!

Ok, I have searched this site and know for a fact that you can fit 35's with a leveling kit. Hundreds of you have them right now. Yet I call 4wheel parts and they act like I'm an idiot. Here is my question. If I want to run a 20x10 kmc monster with 35x12.5's would -12 offset and a 5.03 backspace work with minimal trimming? Or what do I need to go with. Again, I wish I was bright enough on all this to just figure it out but I'm scared to buy without knowing for sure. anything would be great. Thanks!

I believe that guys running 35's with no problems are running a narrower wheel with a positive offset.

Casey I am at the same place. I read on here all the time about people running 35's. I will be interested to see the response that you get here. I have a 2007 FX4 with AS 2 1/2 level and rear AS AAL. I want to get 35 X 12.5 tires on XD Addicts with -12 offset and 4.5" BS. I am even willing to base my tire choice on wether it will fit / rub (within reason as I want it to be on the agressive side). I want to do a 6" lift at a later date and do not want to have to redo wheels and tires at that time.

Ran the exact setup with quite a bit of trimming. Still rubbed pretty bad over bumps turning. I would Just wait til you save up more money and lift it or get a little smaller tire. Like a 305 55 20 or a metric equivalent to a 34x12...just my 2 cents.

you will have to cut the crap out of your truck to fit a 35 with those wheels specs. I have a 20x9 wheel with -12 offset (4.5" of BS) and a 33/12.50/20 Terra Grappler. I rubbed on the front which was no big deal , but was really close on the fender well by the door, like probably a half inch or less...You will probably have to cut metal to fit those without rubbing and drive careful until you lift.

I dont think it is minor trimming when you cut sheet metal, but to each his own. i also had a 3" leveling kit and an AAL. I rubbed on the front and had to trim and on the OEM fenders. mine were 12.60 wide, keep in mind of your tire widths

I'm guessing 33's will probably have to do then, especially since 50% of my miles are off road due to work. Sure would look good though, lol.

I'm running 20x10s with a -12 backspace and 33x12.5 Toyo MTs. I had to do a little trimming on the plastic front valance, but that is it. Close on the back fenderwell. I am leveled as well. I have a pic in my album of how far they stick out. Good luck.

depends on the tire too. an mt with a smaller sidewall wont rub as bad as something with a crazy sidewall like a super swamper thornbird, or a mudgrapper.

That's exactly what I'm wanting to do. After I installed the front of the kit (because I messed up and didn't get the rear at the same time) It really looks like 35's would fit but that's looking at the stock tires.

like mentioned...you have to run a wheel with similar specs to stock to tuck 35's without rubbing and a leveling kit. Aftermarket wheels like the monsters will not allow you to run a 35" tire without trimming.

I have 33x12.5x20 Toyo MTs, 2" level, 4x4 with 20x9 XD Monsters. Check my gallery for a picture on the clearance of the tire vs the fenderwall and running board.

There is no way a 35" would fit without major trimming being done to the fenders. My 33's don't rub at all (forward, reverse, over bumps and while turning)
