successful plug change today :)

well my truck was having hesitation problems when excelerating in overdrive so i looked around and saw many things pointing to the plugs, so i took the time today to change them and they all came out great, not as bad as i thought they would be, and the plugs solved the hesitation problem, only one weird thing happened, the furthest back driver side plug came out incredibly easy, before i even soaked them in carb cleaner

yeah i made sure i took my time, i have 85,000 miles on it , thanks 818f150 it looks a lot dirtier now cause of the salt, lol i might just go buy a lotto ticket now, wolverine08 i would recommend not using an impact for high mileage engines, i imagine if i would of used one i would of snapped all of them off, i had to work every one of them back and forth and man do they make a lot of noise coming out, so no i did not use and impact, i used a 9/16 socket, 3 different extensions, carb cleaner,.....with the carb cleaner i sprayed in the hole, cracked them 1/4 turn, then sprayed more in, then waited 30 minutes, then they all came out, and about 3 days before this i put 104+ octane fuel system cleaner in with 1/4 tank and ran it, yeah it ruined my plugs but i didn't care because i needed that carbon out of there before i changed them, and i was going to change them anyways so no worry there, hope this helps, oh yeah my truck sputtered in the beginning cause of all of the carb cleaner but now it is running great, you will really know the difference when you change your plugs, plus no more hesitation accelerating in overdrive

Good for you. Glad everything went well

By the way your truck looks fantastic I like the valance and the stripes, even though I'm not a stripe kind of person, those look great.
