You talking about an oiled filter or a dry filter? Oiled filters have a tendency to foul the MAF. K&N's in particular are known for allowing more dust down the intake.

a $200 intake, if you purchase an intake for that much you deserve to part with your money

and if you're so worried about mileage then remind yourself you purchased a pickup truck not a pruis....

you guys that say gryphoons, do you run them on level 2? i read on the edge site it had 87 transmission only, 87 towing, and then higher octane tunes. is 87 towing what you all are calling level 2 or do gryphoons do it differently?

To my understanding, If you drive is that short you will get bad mpg's anyways. The motor uses more fuel to get warm. Weather your moving or not. So you will get lower MPG's when the motor is not warm. But once it is warm, it should change to normal.

You also need to remember that its winter. How much crap do they put in the fuel to winterize it. You won't get as good as fuel mileage on winter gas as on summer gas.

you need to do some more research, a Gryphon is different than the POS canned tuning device "Edge"

i mean ive been to the sites on both and i was assuming that gryphoons had a different level system. ive never found anywhere that broke down what each level was.

what settings are people getting better mpgs and throttle response from, the higher 87 octane tunes?

i have nothing go fast wise on my truck other than a welded in magnaflow and a dvw intake mod, so i dont think ill be getting any tunes, do they come with those differnet levels? thats all i was asking.

what level are people finding the best mpgs at?
