Best place to pick up a Lisle tool?
Planning on changing my plugs next weekend and want the extractor just in case. I called Napa and Auto Zone, and neither one in my area carries it or rents it. I don't think Advanced loans tools and we don't have an Oreilly's in my area, so...... where's the best place to purchase online?

That "Menage a thing" .... I wonder ...

... does it help ease the job along any?

Get yourself some epoxy and a coat hanger.
If the porcelain breaks too high, that tool will not work because the porcelain pusher will not push it down far enough for the extractor to have enough metal sleeve to thread into.
If that happens, you dab some epoxy onto a straightened coat hanger, and very carefully insert it into the hole in the porcelain insulator. Give it 30 minutes, then yank it out.
Then you can go back to using the lisle tool to continue the extraction.
That little tip cost me big $$$ to learn from a ford tech after I had to tow my truck in to a dealership.
I was very pissed after thinking I was totally prepared for the job, and finding out that the tool didn't work as it was suppose to.
I hope this helps.
Pay it forward!
I'm gonna give you the tip of the year...
