Who has 22" wiper blades on their 2004-2008 F150?

I need new wipers and want to get the Rain-X Latitude tomorrow morning. I see it calls for 20" blades on both sides, but I think some of you have installed 22" blades with absolutely no clearance issues. Is that right? Anyone have a picture of how close the 22's come to the top of the windshield and along the bottom too? I'm afraid I'll drop $40 on them and then have them rub...then I'm screwed. Will the 22's fit great or what? :-)

I have 20" anco contours on my truck and on the passenger side it does not get the last 1" because of the windshield curve. You might be able to get away with it on the driver side but not the passenger side.

im rocking 20 inch bosch icons and i love them. i cant see anywhere where another inch on either end would benifit, if anything i would think you would gain more by clocking the driver side one up a tooth or two.

I have 22's with no "real" issues but when I turn my wipers on high they make a helluva racket when they make it to the bottom of each cycle. I'm going back to 20's when these get a little more worn out.

im running 24" on both sides, so your 22's will fit no problem.

however as stated before the passenger side kinda lifts off at the very end due to the windshield curve.

i do have 2 sets of wipers, summers, and winters. the summers are the frameless style and have a curve that only leaves an inch or so uncleaned on the passenger side. the winters, are framed, with a coating to keep them from freezing, they leave about 5" uncleaned on the passenger side bottom.

I chickened out and stuck with the 20". These remind me of the old winter blades I just got rid of that had the rubber boot over the whole frame to keep snow and ice out...but these Rain-X blades look even better. The old winter blades lasted almost 3 years for me and I used them in summer too.

P.S. I always keep a good coat of Rain-X on my windshield so I don't really need the world's greatest blades to do a good job. The water rolls right off the windshield anyway even without the wipers on. Where wipers are most critical for me is on snowy days where you get salt spray on your windshield. This is where nice wipers are good to have.

To those of you that don't use the rain-x liquid on your windshield, you really don't know what you're missing. I don't like to hype any product, but this is one product that absolutely does what it says and is a must for drivers. Your windshield will stay MUCH clearer in rain. Instead of having that huge sheet of water on your windshield, you have tiny beads that literally roll right off. If you don't believe me, try it. You need to coat the windshield really good if it's never been done before. I like to do it at least twice and then reapply about every 5 months or so.

I agree on the Rain-X. I've been using it on vehicles since I learned to drive. Even in moderate rain I rarely have to turn the wipers on if I'm moving over 40mph. the water just rolls right off.
