I agree with the oem. Yeah they are still 2pc but if you follow the tsm and use the anti-seize correctly they shouldn't be a problem getting out. Hopefully someone that has put their third set of plugs in after following the tsm can chime in. If I remember correctly those Brisk plugs are high $.

Ya the Brisk plugs arent cheap, but they are worth it IMO. Especially for the peace of mind of not having to follow a tsb every time I change my plugs.

As far as I can tell the ht15 is revised version of the ht1 just like the s515 is the revised version of the sp507

If you are even thinking about using using Autolites, use Motorcrafts instead.

A SP-515 is not a revised SP-507, it's a double platinum.

I know this thread is old (sorry), I'm not 100% sure, but I think there are 2 different versions of the SP-507 plugs. In my 2005 Lariat, I just pulled out PZT1Fs (all but 1 broke) which I believe are SP-507s. I recently bought replacements from summit which are SP-507s, but have PZT14F stamped on them. Are these the newer/upgraded SP-507s? The ONLY difference that I can see is the opening around the tip (see pic). I hope I didn't buy the same crappy old plugs or an outdated one. Fordparts.com has 2 different SP-507 listed, but it doesn't give the number that is stamped on the plugs. The only difference is one is $5 cheaper than the other (assuming this is the old plug).

The MC SP507 are great plugs for these trucks modded or not. I wouldnt use any other brand in these trucks because of the plug problem. I put them in mine recently and couldn't be happier. The E3's are very good also

plugs

I know most people like MC plugs in the 5.4's. I had my plugs changed out a little over a month ago, 42K on the truck at the time and had Champions put in. I actually got an improvement in mileage (mostly city driving) over when I had the MC plugs. No other changes, everything as close to same (going to work, time of day, driving conditions, etc) between pre and post plug change.

So far it's running great and the motor is actually showing slightly lower rpms at 60 mph with the Champions vs MC plugs. At this time, I have no complaints what-so-ever with the Champions.

Good luck whatever you choose.
