Nooby ? regarding TPMS

I have a 2007 F-150 FX2 Sport and I just got lucky and got 20" rims off of a New King Ranch with 4 new Pirelli tires, my truck had 17's on before. Well now that I have changed my tires my Tire pressure light is on constantly which they told me the only way for it to go off would be to replace all the monitors for each tire. Is this true? or what do I need to do to get light off?? I also have an Edge Evolution in it and I programmed the tire size for my computer! Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not positive, but I had a 2008 Mustang and you could get a tool to reprogram the computer to use the new sensors (assuming the new wheels also have TPMS). I would assume it'd be similar.

I would just shut it off.
Sure its handy, but do you REALLY need it?

But if it was mine, I would talk to a tuner like Bill from PHP and see if he can fix this in a tune.

I'll give you $200 for those 20s and tires and you put your old ones back on and problem solved?

"No" huh?

Hey, Great Score! I like my Persllis and 20s, I even picked up a second set from out Wichita way. Smooth tire, great on road tire and certainly able off road.

TPMS light ......all 4 tires same PSI? I'm pretty sure that each system is coded to work together, so you don't get signals from the guy beside you at a traffic light, and likely gonna need a reprogram of some sort as mentioned above.

Most tires shops have a tool that can reprogram the tpms reponders on the rims...goto one of them and see if they can help you...they might charge you 5 bucks a wheel or more...hopefully the new responders are compatable with your old system so you dont have to buy new ones.....

First, what year was the King Ranch you got the wheels off of? If 09 up, the sensors in them will not work with your truck and you will have to get new sensors or take them off your old wheels and remount them on the new. If older than 07, you will have the same options. If 07 or 08 wheels and they do have sensors on them, then they can be reset to your vehicle. Probably require a trip to the dealer. I know the reset tool will work 09 up, but not sure about the 07-08.

I heard you can take your old ones off your old rims and put them inside your new ones and it should work just fine. I'm thinking the guy before you took his out...
