Dent....help!!!
Dent....help!!!
So while packing up my truck to go hunting I noticed a small dent right above my tailgate handle. The dent is about the size of the end of my index finger. It is also scratched, but seems to only be a surface scratch as my nail fails to catch on it. I'm posting some pics of it (not the best, sorry) to see what you guys think I can do about it. I'm thinking I can remove the handle and pop the dent back out. (HOPEFULLY). What say you??? Thanks!!!!

Try the painless dent remover companies. They can get to the back of the sheet metal from the tailgate access panel and may be able to get it out without doing full body work and a repaint.

^^ OR take the tailgate off and take it to a good body shop and have it repaired and repainted.
Few years back I had a tape measure sittin on my bumper and opened my tailgate. Yeah nice crease. Took it to a good body shop, left them my tailgate. Few days later and $225 I got my gate back looking good as new. Till this day you can't notice anything not like you do with dent removal. So it depends how good you want it to look and the funds.

You used your truck bed!? Like it was a truck??? And it shows???? Are you crazy?! In the local vernacular, "Now it's rurnt".
But seriously, if it's that important, the guys already said... the painless dent folks can probably pimp your tailgate back into shape. I once knew a man who waxed the inside of his truck bed. I still maintain he was in-SANE!
Sooner or later the wind will blow all the tree bark out of my truck bed from the fire wooding last weekend... Just like the rain washes all the deer blood out.

Try a dealer lot (Ford, etc) with a used car lot. Often they have their trade-ins detailed by a 3rd party that comes in every so often and many do the PDR. They should be able to access from the handle or back of tailgate without much trouble, and with an experienced tech you'll never know it was there.
