Matte Gray F150 Project

so it was started Labor day weekend, I have been meaning to get this going so i could share my project....

The plan is Matte Gray w/ Lambo as the inspiration for the colour

This is how it looked years ago when I bought it.

This is the basic result of having Bushwacker Flairs for 100 000 km
Rims will be sandblasted and powder coated satin black so i can milk the 65% i have left on the tires.

The truck starting to come apart.

The box will get spray in ligner and so will the wheel wells, I also made that handy pocket for straps and stuffies that will get lined in. It is bolted down as well with a pocket to allow me to chain down a dirt bike or whatever. It will go in the front Left corner

The frame is cracked on both sides, I have abused this truck but not to this extent. I blame the engineers (its fixed now)
Frame painted with 415 or whatever its called.

Box is now fixed
Box will get a spray in liner
underside of box was painted with 415 and wheel wells will get bed liner.

Second coat of primer

We had quite a hard time trying to find this paint colour, the doors are off now that we have it and its a 100% colour change.

My Saleen hood, the mesh will get painted and textured to give it some "pop"

here is my new Roush grill, the chrome will get sanded off. The grill will be painted, and textured.
Tailgate had F150 and Ford logo smoothed.

Plastics will be sanded smooth, painted to match and textured.

one of two painted bumpers vs the original chrome.

The Amp Research steps will go back on (likely not painted)
Front spindles were already powder coated flat black, the towing package will get done at the same time the rims go out.
Recon dark tinted red tails were ordered.
A Tinted 3rd break light.
I have to paint the fogs to ditch that chrome.

and much more to come....

Nice! I bet it will look great! Doesn't it make you just want to scream seeing the truck that torn down? I was ready to when mine was getting similar treatment several weeks ago :o
