Oops, that was the only keypad one I saw. I just got my cowl and fender flares painted and they were textured. Not sure if they sanded them down, but Im pretty sure they didnt.

well, I assume you currently have black, textured handles. You'd be better off asking a body shop if they could sand and paint them. If they say yes, better of just doing the ones on your truck. If you want handles that are meant to be painted, you either have to order from Ford/Tasca or go without the keypad at the moment.

will do. also, as for painting, it would probably just look like a 'smooth' version of your current handles. If you wanted an exact match with clear coat, you'd have to take em' to a body shop for painting.

I know others have sanded and painted there factory handles...

I just don't have time to let my truck be tied up that long with out door handles. Even though it would take only a day or two...

Thinking I'll order up the ones I need in textured finish and sand them all and paint to match.

That way I don't mix smooth and textured and maybe end up with differant finishes.

I saw they have chrome handles as well.... But those are more $

certainly, you can paint the textured handles after sanding them and prepping them, I'm not sure how well that turns out / how long it'll last, but it is certainly an option.

Before I got my flares painted I did them myself. After 7 months 1 of them had a couple flake spots and the rest were still perfect. I didnt use a prime though, only 2 coats of adhesion promoter and then 2 light coats of clear. KR-Texas also painted his without sanding, but idk how they are holding up.

I ordered the paintable ones without chrome handle.

I'll let everyone know how they are when I get 'em

got one of them in the mail today. they seem to be of similar quality to the actual thing. I would say good deal. once i get them painted and installed, i'll be able to provide a better review.
