Painted Frame
Nope... I just am careful... plus if I get overspray on something else that is black... it usually doesn't show up. Plus, it's not like anyone is going sit under my truck with a fine tooth comb and provide comments. If they do, then I'll give them the paint next time and they can do it for me.
Looks good. I need/want to do mine sometime. What paint did you use? I could use all the protection I can get because I live where they go through salt in the winter as if they had an endless supply of it.
I use the Rustoleum Industrial Grade in Gloss Black. I use the rattle can with a spray grip. I think Rustoleum sells their own version of a spray grip nowadays too.
Every year I do this and it's kept the underbody looking like new... so new people think it's a showroom kept truck during the summer.

not really,
its called a "PM"...preventative maintenance.
i only wish mine looked that good. i just don't think you realize how bad the salt (winter roads) is on the northeast.
i been thinking o doing the POR-15 but if rustoleum holds up well it could save me quite a bit of money.

I actually quickly sanded some parts of the underbody tin work and then painted it black... I need to get some light silver rustoleum to kind of match it with the body. Not really worried about it though... next time I'm in the paint aisle I'll get some. Right now I got the POMG that my truck is free of rust.
Knock yourself out, Tiger!
However, I question whether it really does much beyond improving the aesthetics of the truck? I lived for many years back in the salt and snow of Minnesota, and can honestly say that I never really heard of frames rusting through during the normal service life of a vehicle....???
But hey -- if you've got the time, who am I to tell you what to do with it?

I quit using Rustoleum spray paint about 16 years ago. They changed the vehicle to make the product more enviornmentally friendly and after that, the stuff took forever to dry (even then it stayed a little rubbery). It would also thicken a little in the can and, no matter how much I shook it, I'd get little "worms" of thickened paint in the freshly sprayed coating and, eventually, the nozzle would hopelessy clog. Krylon worked much better.
