exactly. for example, the mods i have done that help gas mileage: edge and intake. they also make it sound and run better. i could really care less about mpg as long as its reasonable. i lost 2 mpg with my tires and wheels. But i love them so idc.

all i have is my dual exhaust and a box cover, i've only run about 3/4 of a tank down so far and im at 880 kms, which is about 547 miles. the tank size is 117 liters which is about 30 gallons. all in all im about 22-24 MPG with 65% city travel. Not too bad in my books lol

Oh believe me im not saying dont do mods to your truck lol. Im saying the exact opposite actually.

Do exhaust, tune, and whatever else tickles your pickle lol. But not one person ive talked to that mods their trucks say they do it for better MPG alone.

Running 40 psi vs 35 and going 68 in a 70 vs the 73 I used to run upped my hwy MPG from from 15.5 to a consistent 17.4.

Staying at or under 65 MPH on the highway, trying not to go over 2K revs when I accelerate has gotten me from 12 MPG mixed driving to 14-16 MPG mixed driving. Some of it depends on the gas quality. I drive a 2006 F150 FX4 Screw with the 6.5' bed, 20" stocker rims.

Okay. Look they're just doing the same thing. They are the ones who provoke me because they can't just wait until their exit comes up. They can't wait a couple more seconds. They just have to step on it and pass, because they do not want to wait a little longer.

What is your mailing address so I can send you a pair of crutches? That was totally lame and supports my claim of you being childish. So what if someone passes you? What harm is it doing? People have been passing me for 45 years (and I normally drive the speed limit) and it hasn't hurt me any. There is NO justification for you preventing them from passing by speeding up when they try. Your doing so is also dangerous for everyone concerned. Either grow up or get the heck off the road, child, until you mature!

So do I. I've had to deal with too many clowns like that on the road.

In the past month I have switched to synthetic, dual borla pro xs muffler, and done the Gotts mod on my truck. It has given me back about 1.3mpg or so to put me at around 11.4 or 11.5mpg city driving.

I was never a pencil and notebook guy when it comes to MPG but I'm 90% sure adding a tonneau cover was worth 1 MPG on the highway. Hands down though, the easiest 2 MPG highway increase is available by driving 65 instead of my usual 75-80 MPH. I can squeeze 20 MPG out of it at 65 but struggle to stay around 18 at usual spedds. I drive about 30,000 miles/year. So...I could theoretically save $400+ per year but I'd spend 75 extra hours away from home to get it.....not even minimum wage. I am lucky with the law so I didn't factor any tickets in.
