It's been confirmed by my insurance company that she had no insurance and no valid driver's license. She was also the owner of the vehicle that hit me. I'm pretty sure she has nothing I can go after so getting a lawyer and trying to sue her would cost me more headache and lawyer fees than it's worth. My claim has already been moved to Uninsured Motorist and the adjuster has already low balled me for compensation for the truck.

She's my world up and I seriously doubt anything will happen to her. She should be in jail and if she is illegal, then she should be sent back to her homeland.....oh but she probably had a kid here so she is protected because her child would be a US citizen and she has the right to care for her here in our country......and we all enjoy the benefit of paying for her and her child. I don't care what race she is, she my world up and at best she wont be able to get a driver's license for a very long time. She didn't even have one in the first place so who gives a right? I'm sure any punishment she gets will really be enforced anyway. Had I not been in that truck, if I had been in my fiancee's car, or the Jeep Wrangler i was driving just 2 months ago......I'd most likely been either seriously injured or dead. So because I was lucky enough to be riding in a vehicle that saved my life.....does that change anything? should it?

She probably doesnt even give a s**t either because she knows in our system....people like her are not held accountable for their actions. Meanwhile I'm left trying to pick myself back up from where she f**king left me and I just have to be thankful no one was in the car with me and that I was fortunate enough to not be seriously hurt.

man thats crazy ... and i know how accidents with foreigners are ... i have been fighting one for the last 5 years. I shattered my ankle in the accident and have been given a 40% disability of my lower body ..of course like in your cause no insurance so i got my under insured and thats it ... so for a 40% disability i got $15,000 ... and they had the nerve to tell me i should be thankful ... this i whats wrong with society today you can screw someone else over and you don't have to be held accountable for your actions .. but like everyone else says glad your ok.

Yeah no doubt... sucks that it seems like the more honest and hard working you are the more you get screwed in the end when the hits the fan. I know it sounds hollow to say but in the grand scheme of things, a truck is just a truck... thank God you weren't driving something less than you were and that you were alone when it happened at any rate.

Still... Here's to hoping things get worked out without screwing you too badly BigMoosie.

I'd take it to my local news outlet. Raise hell man, you're in the perfect position to make your point. Everything you said is probably true, you, a hard working legal citizen, minding their own business gets by some one doing illegal things (no license, no insurance, immigration status is irrelevant at this point), and odds are she'll keep going about her illegal lifestyle, leaving you and the rest of the tax payers to foot the bill.

Personally, if I were you, I'd have a hard time not burning her house to the ground. Unfortunately, I think that's what things may come to if the gov't won't protect it's citizens.

More rationally, like you said, count your blessings, things could have ended up much much worse. It doesn't excuse her actions, but still, try to look on the bright side of things.

Local news outlet is a fine idea. You live in a conservative state and I'm sure the community will support you 100%

Conservative is the only way really. I have next to no democratic views. I need to get out of south Florida.

On note though: I remember getting in my rollover and I HATED drving on the interstate for about a year. Glad your okay, glad you were drving a Ford too.

Local News

I vote for the local news route to ... If their willing to broadcast it more people will hear of this. I think it is very wrong and just think that there needs to be something done more about this.

This woman was wrong and she was fully aware of it.

These Mexican's over the hill here in North Carolina drive crazy. Yesterday at lunch I saw one driving some kind of white van through a 35 mph. zone going around 50 mph. and riding on the side walk. The van was bouncing every where and looked almost uncontrollable.

I called 911 and about 2 more miles up the road they had the van pulled over at some kind of local pawn shop.

Sorry for your troubles and I'm glad your o.k.

Something just needs to be done about this. If someone would buy me all the beer I wanted and give me a 50 cal. with a night vision scope, I do it for the cost of the beer. Just sit my a$$ on the border and have target practice.

The reason I feel this way is because I have a young child and wife that just recently about got hit by one of these Mexican's. If it wasn't for her quick thinking it would have been bad.

I wish that going to local news would do some good. To bad in todays P.C. bow to every minority at the expense of the majority world we live in. It probably wouldn't make anything except a back page in the newspaper. Just plain wrong. "Back to your regularly scheduled programing of Obama with is hand out".

Glad you're safe and well. Maybe find out where she lives and works then call I.C.E. on a regular basis. You may not be able to do anything about her. But you can make her being here miserable.

oh man so sorry to hear that....I'd fight just to have her thrown in jail, here in NJ they have a field day with people like that...so many laws here but they still manage to get away with it.....I'd personally ensure she gets sent back home along with anyone else illegally here :P
