so today got no call backs from my adjuster or my local Allstate agent. I'm sure my agent here has been warned not to get involved and ruin the personal relationship we have. I recently switched to Allstate because my fiancee was with them. I moved my Jeep, my motorcycle, and my house over to them....not to mention the truck when I bought it. If we don't hear from our local agent by noon tomorrow....we've decided we drop Allstate......

I did get a call from the "field tech" today with the numbers. They are considerably lower than what I paid for the truck. Granted, I bought it from a dealer so I may have payed a little more......but still considering everything if they could just give us what we paid (excluding tax and title) we'd be square. I can see this getting messy before it's all over.

Oh and one other thing....the "field tech" guy tells me there was hail damage on the roof of the truck. I washed the truck that morning and though maybe I didn't look it over that closely....I never saw any hail damage. Pulled the carfax and there is nothing about hail damage. Then he tells me he wants to move it to their lot so Allstate isnt charged any more by the tow company and that after this Monday I will have to pay for the daily fee to keep it on the tow lot. So I tell him to get me a better price for my truck and he in turn tells me ok, but it will take 4-5 business days to get back other quotes. So just enough time for me to start having to pay for keeping it on the tow lot.

 

I was going 20-25mph......the f**king mexican was going at least 40+

 

Glad you are OK. I can sympathize. I was hit head-on last SEP by some idiot making an illegal turn. Destroyed my truck and left me with 9 staples in the back of my head and a cracked fibula ... The difference was the BIT#& did have insurance, and a mean lawyer did some work on her insurance company.
In your case since she was driving illegally and had no insurance you are getting the shaft. I would agree with others who say to go to the local news with this. It wouldn't hurt to talk to a lawyer to see if anything could be persued for your injuries.
Everyone here needs to become active in pressing your "representatives" in congress to do something about all these illegals in our country. They continue to wreak havoc on us every day.
