Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
Its got a 2.5" spacer in the front and nothing in the rear. Tires are bald 285/75/18? I think? Something like that but I have new ones already ordered. Im going to run 325/60/18s with bilstein 5100s in the 2" setting and ditch the spacer.
ill get on that sig thing... thanks
you truck may need some new cam phasers?

let me know how you like the ride of those bilsteins. you getting the rear ones too? do you know the increments of the adjustment are?
no i don't think so it doesn't make the phaser noise at idle, when the truck sits for 15+ hours without being started, when you first start it it ticks or flutters a few times (less than 1.5 seconds id say) then shuts up. if i use the truck every day like i usually do it doesnt do it. from what ive read and gathered from my thread i started a bit ago thats the sound when the filter lets the oil drain away from the variable cam timing solenoid. ive been getting motocrafts from wally world and im thinking they are going to ****, but i put a purolator pure one on there and it still does it so i dont know. if anything its a lifter getting stuck or a lash adjuster or something super expensive.
No they are larger than stock. 285 something...
I will let you know, Ive had them before on my old F150. I know they were night and day compared to the spacer. I will see if it is the same again with this truck.
The increments are 0 or 2 but I had a machinist turn another groove in my old set so I could run 1.5" that was perfect. I am not sure if I will have that done again or not.
Wouldnt an antidrain back valve correct this oil issue? Im not sure I would worry about it if its only a second. Maybe timing chains? I know my 5.4 DOHC makes some crazy sounds at startup but its expected on that engine.

Might be. It started doing it a while ago though it didn't used to. 2 inches will still leave your back end higher by an inch should be perfect. 04-05s have 3 inches of rake most of the time. I always heard bilsteins rode more stiff than stock

I bought it. Well I agreed to buy it. Put $100 down in good faith on a White 2004 Supercrew XLT 4x4 to replace my totaled Silver Metallic 2004 FX4. When insurance check arrives I'll pick the truck up.
truck did a strange shift on me going up a hill and for some reason, i could be being paranoid, but i feel like ive got a little bit of a vibration and my exhaust seems louder, like the truck is struggling. im being very paranoid about my transmission lately. i was at the beach and took it on the sand and it felt very very sluggish, so i reloaded my tune (been running canned level 2 tow tune on a gryphon) and it went back to being normal. now its been feeling sluggish again so i decided to change it up and reloaded my tune but went with the level 1 tune. also corrected for my tire size. i dont like how the level two tune holds first for a long time, moving up in traffic gets to be awkward sometimes because it tries to shift to second right as im letting off the throttle.
really hope im not about to have transmission troubles. i hate being paranoid
