Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
Trans flush, transfer case flush, oil change, next on the list install the Detroit Truetrac in place of those crappy clutch packs. I was surprised to see the trans fluid still red and in great condition after 88,000 miles of use. I was expecting the fluid to be burnt, cause that would have been my luck.
Changed fuel filter today and man did it need it! Nothing but brown coming out of 1 end of the old one. On a side note, don't ever get any fuel in your ear canal!!!!! Hurt like a mother for a good 1/2 hour. 2 hours later and I'm still sore, even after alot of flushing. I have never cared much for those damned spring clip connectors, man what a PITA to be laying on your back while trying to get those off, and not get fuel all over yourself.
let a GM parts dealer pick up my F-150 and change the oil for $12 and wash the outside for $10 and I provided the oil.
Then I got home and parked it and drove a windstar to the Er with my G/F's crazy mom in it after she broke her foot.

Just finished painting my exhaust pipes(again). They were black before but got chipped up when my Magnaflow came loose. 4WheelParts fixed the Magnaflow exhaust yesterday free of charge. Painting tips today. 3 hour dry time and back on they go for the curing process!

Got a oil change at the Quick Change for 20 bucks. Service guy hooked me up since I paid an arm and leg for my drivetrain fluid change last time. Air filter dirty so I got a nice Fram at Autozone. All done yesterday.
I'm dreading doing my fuel filter.
Got new tires...Cooper Discoverer ATRs, bigger than stock(265 rather than 235 /70-17), quieter than stock, cooler looks than stock, WAY better traction than stock(I knew I'd have an improvement but I didn't imagine THIS much)...oh and it looks like I get better highway mileage from them too.

Got my tires balanced and rotated. Inflated to 40psi. It was at 35psi for a long time. maybe this will save me some gas without sacrificing too much cushion in my ride.
I tried getting an alignment couple weeks ago. They said my outer tie rod was out on my left side. Replaced both. There was plenty of sway on turns and it still pulled to the right side without the aligment.
So this second time around they put a cam in my right side and got the alignment done. Not only does my truck ride smoother, less sloppy there's no steering wheel nibble. I had the nibble when I drove it off the lot. Then got a spacer and 33s around 40-50k miles and most of it was gone. The nibble came back around 20-30k miles ago. Everything feels/rides great. I hope it sticks for many miles.
Flushed my brake and power steering fluid also. He said the brake fluid was really bad. I figured since I had to depress my pedal A LOT for normal stops. It depresses less and stops much better. Steering feels stiffer.
Pretty happy with the way the truck rides now. I just gotta do the serpentine belt and the fuel filter myself. If my truck doesn't break down for a very long time that would be awesome.
