smoked by a Tundra, should I be ashamed?
When you(Ford) have the best selling truck year after year, even with weak *** power, why change it? Obviously the buyers don't care that much or they'd buy something else. Not to mention, more power, more heavy foot on the gas, more stops at the filler up stations, a hella lot more money! I have my truck set up as a sport truck and I still think the F150 kicks *** on looks over any other truck sport or lifted! Of course you all know about the ride and interior that goes along with it. So if you want a race car buy one, but my truck is for cruising and towing my 3 kids around and for that there's not a better or more comfortable truck to be had!
Tundras don't have pushrod engines...all engine offerings are DOHC.
I totally disagree about Toyotas having a hideous front end....
Personally speaking (which is what I always do, because I couldn't care less what the other 6 1/2 billion think
LOL) I think Toyota's look kind of crazy, wild, outlandish.... in the same way a bad-*** rice burner motorcycle does. And they are both totally cool with me.
Fords look more classic, like a Harley Davidson, and they are both cool with me too.
Errr..... I mean to say, the pre-09' Fords looked good. The 09-10's look totally lame, tacky, gawdy.... in the same way a vehicle looks, with a bunch of cheap a$$, stick on chrome, and crap.... like gay a$$ ghetto-mobiles
The only 09' or newer Ford I'd ever own, would be a Superduty.

Dad always taught me to use the right tool for the job.
I never consider speed an issue in any trucks. (exception to Ligthnings, Saleens, Roushes)
Send that Tundra my way. I drive around in a twin screw supercharged '06 Mustang GT. 440hp to the wheels. I'll show him what speed is.
I love hauling the family to the beach in my Screw in comfort.

fish chris i deff agree with you on those newer F150's i like the look of my 06 so much better than those 09 and newers. that one looks like NASA made it and it only has 10 extra ponys. im all set with it.
gears gears gears
I am surprised no one has looked at the rear end on a tundra or mentioned it I should say.
Go do a stare and compare of the rear ends and you will be surprised. Yota's are putting 3.90's and 4.10' s. EVEN A 4.30! And with a 6spd you are talking one fast truck.
I give credit where credit is due.
They is fast.
They suck, but they is fast.

"Toyota.....moving forward even when you don't want to"
Trucks are not built for speed (ours anyway) tow something with yours and the same thing with a Tundra...you'll like your Ford much better.
Also place a concrete bag on the tailgate of each vehicle...when the Tundra tailgate begins to crack and falls off the truck you will once again be glad you have a functional truck...not an overpriced car badged as a "truck"

i beg to differ, the toyota engine is a remodled car block, the i force is streched to the max and i dont know of any one whos brokes a crank shaft on a ford under normal daily driving... any takers? the toyota is a cheaply built truck just like every other product toyota makes, it 1980's technology, sold concurent with todays economy, im not impressed it can have 500hp and 500tq on paper, but is the engine capable of sustaining that under load, try loading the thing down and run it. i venture to say the results would be just as you say , th toyota would loose. just as it has in the sales trailing at the back of the pack where poorly built **** belongs. oh and fyi a 2007 corvette z06 has 505 hp 575 tq, so that being said the vett can haul more than my truck right? your logic not mine.....
In December of 2003 my Nissan Titan that I had on order(one of first 100 Titans produced) arrived at the dealer. Drove it home thinking it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, thinking it was a Nissan so it should be as good as my old Frontier.
During the first year I smoked many hemis and other trucks as there wasn't too many trucks that could take on the Titan's Power six years ago.
During that same first year this thing was at the dealer for a nearly fried pumpkin, aweful brakes, and too many rattles from the dash, seats, and suspension.
Needless to say I sold the contraption(even though it was still very "fast") after one year of agony/ownership! Back then Toyotas were 4.7L and barely 250hp.
When I bought my F150 last year, sure I had reservations, but this truck blew me away!
It's the smoothest most comfortable V8 vehicle(car or truck) I've ever owned. Not a sound, rattle, squeek after 70K miles. My wife told me the other day while driving home from the movies, "what a big mistake that darn Titan was compared to this truck".
Long story short, I'll never look at any other brand of truck again. Lesson learned. Speed is not everything.

The truck shifts and drives fine but its just not a race car. Ive put 19k on it in the year Ive owned it and it still seems fine.
I just rode in my friend's 2010 Tundra last night. That truck definately feels alot faster than my truck. It put me back in the seat when he stomped on it.
I'll still stick with my Ford though. I didnt buy my truck so I could live life a quarter mile at a time.

it took a little while to get going :o thank you warranty now my truck feels like a whole new animal
