I changed mine last weekend, I went back with the Brisk plugs.
And you will be changing them every 25k. Not only that, but they are racing plugs and too cold a heat range for an unmodified engine.

I think I'm going to try the Roush plugs next go around:

They look two piece but hey, you can't have everything.

Man, you need to quit while you're ahead, and even that's questionable.

Ease up dude. Most of us usually share the same opinion as him. He is usually very well informed. You can express your own opinion without being rude.

I changed mine without following the TSB...

warmed it up by driving to town and back home (25miles)
started pulling everything off, pcm, all the coil over plugs
the put the 3/8" impact on them and spun each one out. (hit the trigger and dont let out until you know for sure its out.)
then i put each one back in by hand.

60,000 miles on the clock. took about 1.5 hrs and i got replacement plugs from Rockauto.com for 7.97 each

That's amazing!

So ... no MC carb cleaner pre-soak? Engine warm? Impact?

Why does this work so well, as it counters just about every recommendation in the latest TSB?

Hmmm .. y'all might be on to something

Good job

I'm pretty sure that is the same method Quintin, a Ford tech uses. Wasn't it you that said I was nuts when I said some used an impact?

yeah just as you read, no carb cleaner junk. it works because the pulsating movement from the impact doesnt allow the rust/junk to stick to the head.

I heard it from a tech too. Which is why I tried it.
