Need grill advice..

I love the look of the OEM FX2 grill, and would actually lovvee something just like it but without the oval in the middle. Also looking for a lower one to match. Does anyone make something like this??

I'd like something a little thicker than a normal billet grill, but if it has to be billet than so be it. Here's the kicker though... Whatever grill I get, I want to get it painted a dark shadow gray. Not wanting to black out the front of my truck, but I definitely want the grills to be a nice gun metal or DSG color.. Surely someone has beat me to this?? If so, please post pics!

Looking for the best fitting, most well made grill that meets my description above.. Thanks!

If you're going to be painting the grille, I'd suggest finding an eBay knockoff. Buy 2 of them, one for the grille, and then cut up the 2nd one to make lower insert.

Do you want to completely replace your current grille, or just put a bolt-over in place? What grille do you have, honeycomb or bar style?

Here's a link to a guy who has an FX2 lower insert.

Get the roush chrome over plastic grill, it looks just like the fx2 grill but you don't have to mount the emblem in the center if you dont want. Then you can paint it whatever color you want.

That's the one I was thinking of! I seem to remember a guy on eBay had a bunch of them for like $99 shipped. That was quite a while ago though.

I'm not sure about that... I think there might be a small difference when they changed fog design.

The 04-05 bumper had a larger opening than the 06-08 did, the 04-05 ones opening was longer and taller and did not have the croosbar at the top of the bumper like the 06-08 has.

The top grille is the same for 04-08, but the lower is different for 04-05 and 06-08.
