Painted my Brake Calipers

Well I was tired of seeing my old nasty rusty brake calipers when I have almost everything else back up to shine. I also changed my factory brake pads with new Wager Thermoquiets ( best brake pads I have used ) they are super quiet and clamp down real well

I used DarrenWS6 's write up to do them: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...nting-how.html

I followed all his steps and this is what I got out of it. I also put two coats of high temperature Clear Coat. And 3 Coats of Black Dupli-Color Caliper Paint.

Before:

After:

(Sorry Wheels are so dirty They're clean now trust me )

Next Step is new Rotors and KMC ADDICTS & Toyo M/Ts

Nice! Just reminds me I need to redo mine, the cold and road salt have eaten them up

Good job.

If anyone wants to go the brush on route, we carry the G2 Brake caliper paint. It's an epoxy system and VERY hard. One kit will do all 4 brakes.

Check it out here.

Here's the kit used on a Miata I used to have:

Is it only in bright red? Or do they have other colors..maybe even a darker red. I will be doing this when things warm up here in VA

G2 comes in 11 colors. Unfortunatly thats the only Red..

There both great ways of doing it but the G2 looks more like a thicker, powdercoat vs. spray paint.

Scroll up ^^ Damon@tirerack's got a link for the G2 you can click on..

Nice job!! Looks great!

i used the Baer brake caliper paint (red ) on the Stang looks and holds up great!

Still need to do the truck though... But probably go with black.

Actually I used that same paint on my D-ring on the hitch too!
