Getting new bulbs isn't cheap.. I thought of the same thing and the only real way of knowing is when (if) it happens.. All good so far, and as far as I know the same with the other members who have done theirs. For me personally, I'm not too worried about the damage from the heat of the bulbs because the lights are never really on. .

my brother was telling me to get HID but i already have them on the heads and i get enough ppl flashing me already lol, their hardly ever on anyway so im NOT dropping 120-200 for HIDS in Fogs

Carolinaboy32.... is that just regular paint tape you put over the chrome part?

I used krylon fusion paint, I used the satin finish and used the least adhesive strength masking tape I could fine. I used the white masking tape and put it on my cotton shirt 5x before sticking it on the chrome part, so it won't peel it off. I then just sprayed a really light coat, and getting slightly heaver as I went. Till I got the coverage I wanted

idk why but im getting the impulse that u shud do ur headlamps also, id would look real mean and clean..dont know how that goes in hand in hand
