Question Brush Guard and Front receiver hitch?

I know a bull bar and front receiver hitch will work together but what about a brush/grille guard.

I already have a front receiver hitch mounted I want to keep.

I can't seem to locate any detailed mounting instructions for brush/grille guards. I know I just use the tow hook mounts but wondering about the way they attach behind the grille. Anybody? Thanks!

One use:

I've also used bike racks, cargo carriers while towing my travel trailer. Others will use them for getting trailers/boats into tight
places.

And then found this:

Thanks again.

Chrome and stainless grille guards are junk in my personal oppinion. Ranch hand, Frontier and Cordell custom welding all make grille guards that are in the same price range of the westin, and will actually protect your truck... Look at my albums, or their website, and you can see how the ranch hand attaches. They also make a bullnose replacement that has a built in reciever hitch.

i think it will depend on ur mount. i use to have an 06 with a Hunter grill guard and the curt front mount receiver wouldnt work, but the drawtite would. it is how they mount. the hunter keeps the tow hooks and allows for the drawtite hitch.....

EDIT: i was wrong, the drawtite will NOT work with brush guard bc of the way the drawtite mounts to the inside of the frame and the lower brakets also mount under the tow hooks, but toward the inside of the frame. i have been told a Curt will work. it also mounts under the tow hooks......
