I've always liked this pic. This is 1 coat of NS and 3 coats of clear. They were not sanded/buffed yet, I was checking out how they looked.

some more

stock

1coat NS 3coat clear

3rd brake first attempt 3coats NS 2coats clear

3rd brake second attempt 1coat NS 3coats clear Way better IMO

I did a couple coats to basically just change the hue of the stock taillight:

Before:

After:

The 06 tails on my old ranger were just a smaller version of our tails, but I went almost completely black on those, I think it sort of looks tacky unless you have more black on the truck:

Man those look sweet. I really want to do this but im also tempted to open them up and try to paint the inside the same way we can paint the headlights. Dont mean to hijack the thread OP but has anyone tried it?

Hey bud I don't think anyone's done this. Main reason being that if you spray the inside there's no way you can wet sand or polish the coat that is showing (coat touching the inside of the lens), leaving a large potential for it to be uneven. I probably could have worded that better but I'm brain dead right now.

3rd brake light was tinted darker than the tails to match the surround.
