05 F150 SCREW wind noise/rattle near a-post

Weird rattling noise in vicinity of driver's side a post. Seems to start when speed is above 50 mph.

Any ideas?

Yeah, it seems to be OK. I've checked the trim around the windshield and the cowling.

I solved it.

Running down each side of your windshield is a black strip that continues all the way up, over the top of the truck, and stops at the rear of the roof. This strip covers the sides of the windshield and have to be removed each time you have your windshield replaced.

There are tiny little black plastic clips that hold this strip down and over time they can become brittle and/or loose. I went to safelite and asked if I could purchase some extra as I found out they break these all the time when they replace windshields. The Guy there charged me a small fee for the replacement clips and even showed me the trick for disengaging them.

Was very easy... I *GENTLY* used a small hook tool and a flat head and pryed up on the strip while simultaneously pushing toward the outside of the truck. One by one they popped out of the little channel. I swapped them out....Problem fixed.
