Anyone game for figuring out how to tweak the programming to make the sync fob work?

The install procedure from the dealer called for the use of a programmer that I simply don't have.

Part of that procedure is for Sync VIN registration for services (yea right....) and part of it, I believe, is also for customization of the config.... , including enabling the use of a fob. Right now it seems to be looking for all signals to come over the CAN bus.
