Good tire recommendation

I am going to have to replace the Crappy Pirellis on my FX2 20s soon. I have always have good luck with Kumho tires. Any recommendations for 275/55R20s or a 285/295 equivalent? Places to buy?

BFG makes a lot of good tires. Pricey, but mostly good reviews and you can get them about anywhere. I like my nitto tires Terra Grapplers, but you will hear mixed opinions on them id say. They are also cheaper then bfg. Ive also seen more people buy Cooper tires, they make a pretty mild AT called the LTZ. I got my tires at NTB listed at 306 each and after talking to the manager a bit he sold them to me for 270, but that was also a 305/55/20.. Good luck to ya

Don't want ATs on my FX2. Never have had any luck with BFGs.

Til what time? I leave work at 4PM CST. I've always ordered from Tire Rack but your shipping prices seem to have gone up.

I have the Pirelli's on my truck and have to say I'm not a fan at all. On my 2001 F-150 Lariat I replaced the stock Firestone's with Bridgestone Dueller AT Revo tires. These were great tires! I had over 50K on them when I traded the truck in for my 2008 and there was still at least another 5K on them. Great tire!

I may be looking to replace my Pirelli's, especially if we're going to get a lot of snow here in the northeast, with something better and that's not subject to flat spots or minimal traction in wet weather. I'm open to suggestions too!

I only wish that I could replace the tires under warranty!

JC

Wish a couple of you guys wanting to replace the Pirellis were closer to LA - I happen to like the tire (probably a fan club of 1) and will need a new or good used set soon for my 06 Lariat. Bought my current set used and have enjoyed over 40K trouble free miles on em. I've heard complaints about flat spotting but never experienced it myself - maybe it doesn't get cold enough here in Louisiana?

I agree. My dad has the Pirellis on his beautiful 08 King Ranch and even he doesn't like them. Almost to the point where we put my old stock Lariat 18s with the Goodyears on his truck! I'll be getting him BFG ATs for his birthday probably. My buddy just got 55k out of his last set...on a 3/4 ton!
